Located on the former site of the first integrated steel mill west of the Rockies, the California Speedway lies where one million tons of scrap metal and two million cubic yards of earth were removed.
The track is a two-mile, D-shaped oval with three garages and 100 spaces. The grandstand holds 78,520 in its upper and lower levels, with 12,530 in club seating and 28 skyboxes.
